Gregg Waterman

“Part of the artist’s job is to make the commonplace singular...”
photographer Sally Mann

We live in an area of great natural beauty. Within an easy drive from Klamath Falls we can find mountains, waterfalls, and the wonder of Crater Lake. A little farther away are magnificent redwood trees and the Pacific coast. I enjoy photographing all of those things! But perhaps even more, I like photographing scenes that a person might just pass by if they are not looking attentively: a tumbleweed in a canal, a single tree against a hillside of many trees, the reflections of some cattails, the gnarled roots of a driftwood tree. Nature gives us many wondrous sights, if we will venture out mindfully and without hurry. I strive to capture these views that are overlooked by most, and I have conviction that if the viewer takes the time to look carefully, they will find that each photograph has something to give.

Lexis Washburn

My works are primarily landscapes, in watercolor and acrylic. I’ve always loved art and music, developing my artistic skills in drawing and painting since I was a young child.

I moved to Klamath Falls with my husband in 1980 and joined the Klamath Art Association shortly after. The beauty of the sky and the scenery of Southern Oregon are so inspiring. Much of my works are scenes of the natural beauty in the Pacific Northwest.

My work is done in various media, including  acrylics, watercolor, pastels, ink, graphite and colored pencil. More artistic endeavors include graphic arts, jewelry and fabric arts. Exhibits include the Klamath Art Gallery, OIT, and Gallery 803, as a member in the co-op for about nine years.

My art education includes solid high school studies for four years, life drawing at San Bernardino Community College, graphite drawing with David Bjurstrom, Watercolor with Miwako Bagley, Darlene Zarosinski, and others.
